Ribble Cycles
The Ribble Cycles web site has been in constant evolution
since its development by Orbit in March 2004.
The site incorporates a unique Bike Builder feature that allows
comprehensive customisation and the ability to store customised
bike specifications against a users account prior to placing
an order. Order processing was integrated with the in house fulfilment
software and accounts system 12 months ago to streamline the
order processing and fulfilment cycle where a workflow bottleneck
had developed due to the success of the site and the number of
orders being placed online. (several hundred daily). Multiple
payment methods are catered for and supported by the system.
The site is structured and coded to perform well in major search
engines, key phrase searches from Google alone contribute in
excess of 30,000 visits per month, allowing the site to maintain
high visibility in a very competitive market sector.
Recent enhancements include sophisticated promotion and incentive
codes and vouchers which are redeemed at checkout. All product
information, prices, special offers and discount codes are managed
through a CMS administration interface.
