Google Adwords
What is Google Adwords?
Google Adwords is Googles privately developed PPC advertising platform and is Google Inc’s main source of revenue. Adwords uses a simple text and banner advertising structure that is displayed on the google main search engine and its partner sites for specific key phrase searches.
How does Adwords work?
Adwords is based on the simple PPC method of marketing; however it has a few subtle differences from the run of the mill PPC engines such as Yahoo! Search Marketing and MSN AdCenter.
The main order of the paid listings within Google depends not only on other advertisers bids it also uses a “quality score” system to determine how often is should show that listing for a specific keyphrase. The “quality score” is calculated using both the historical click through data gathered by Google and the relevance the ad text, as well as the page that the ad links out to in relation the search term.
