Microsoft AdCenter (formally MSN AdCenter)
Microsoft was the last of the major three players in the search engine market to create its own PPC service. Before Microsoft AdCenter was established all the PPC advertising that appeared on MSN Search and Live Search were generated by Yahoo! (overture). In 2006 Microsoft started by fusing its new PPC service along with the listings it was receiving from Yahoo!. In June of 2006 the contract between Microsoft and Yahoo! Was terminated and Microsoft established its PPC engine within the PPC marketplace.
In November 2007 Microsoft AdCenter added a unique feature to its PPC administration functions allowing its advertisers to chose to show there adverts not only on specific days, but specific times of day. This can be beneficial if you have statistical data showing when your target audience is searching for your products or services.
